Great Read for Runners

Writen by Dr. Paul Ochoa

PT, DPT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT

Read this a few years ago and was reminded of it by Nathan Carlson and Chris Johnson who put together an amazing 8 week discussion/lesson on resistance training for the endurance athlete.

Done back in the 90’s (when hip hop was good) but still relevant today in many ways. Novacheck hits on so many aspects of gait and running it’s tough to pull the gems from this one. He includes everything from EMG studies, kinematics in all planes, force plate data, shoe prescription (or the myth of), tendon and muscle roles, etc.

Just a wealth of information for anyone interested in running.

Have a look and a read on PubMed and let me know if you have any questions or comments.
